A graduate of the class of 2022, Lachlan Cummings, excelled in the HSC, achieving multiple high Band 5’s across subjects including Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1, Physics, Engineering Studies, and PDHPE. He is currently in his second year of university, pursuing a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering at UNSW.

Lachlan is deeply passionate about sports, a commitment reflected in his top-ranking performance in PDHPE within his cohort. This passion for sports drives his career aspiration to become an aerodynamics design engineer in the world of motorsports after graduation. Lachlan continues to excel academically at UNSW, securing multiple distinctions and a high distinction in STEM subjects. His enthusiasm for engineering extends beyond the classroom as he engages in designing, manufacturing, and launching rockets with the UNSW Rocketry team.

After conducting a trial tutoring session with a colleague early in 2024, Lachlan discovered a strong interest in teaching and tutoring. He is now eager to support other students as a tutor at Double A Academy. Understanding the stresses that HSC students face, he creates a safe and judgement-free learning environment that not only facilitates educational success but also makes learning enjoyable.
